🌿 띄어쓰기의 중요함 - The importance of spacing words

조사를 제외한 한국어의 모든 단어는 띄어 씁니다.
“EVERY WORD(except postposition) have to have a space.” is the rule of Korean.

조사는 왜 제외일까요?
혼자서는 사용될 수 없는 단어이기 때문입니다. 조사는 반드시 앞말에 붙여 써야 합니다.
Then why postposition particles are exclude? Because it cannot be used ALONE. It has to be attached to the before it.

🙊 작은형이큰집에서잤다

This one it tricky. It has 6 different meaning, where you put on the spacing.

👉 작은형(a word) = middle older brother
👉 작은 형(word+word) = older brother who is small

 

👉 큰집(a word) = a house of the eldest son of a family, or (slang) slammer
👉 큰 집(word+word) = big house

 

So, the meaning of that sentence would be..

 

🙂작은형이 v 큰집에서 v 잤다

• Middle older brother slept at eldest son’s house.
• Middle brother slept in prison

🙂작은형이 v 큰 v 집에서 v 잤다.

• Middle older brother slept in a big house

🙂작은 v 형이 v 큰집에서 v 잤다.

• Small older brother slept at the oldest son’s house.
• Small older brother slept in the slammer.

🙂작은 v 형이 v 큰 v 집에서 잤다.

• Small older brother slept in the big house.
  

Of course, there are acceptable ’attached’ between words. But please remember, spacing is really important in Korean and you won't be wrong if you space every single word.
